Elevate Storage Solutions were chosen by our client to supply and install a shelving system at the new School of Biological Sciences building at QUB.

The system comprised to 2 elements. The first was a mobile shelving system for the storage of general inventory and consumables required for the day to day running of the department of Biology.

The second was to provide a specialist shelving system that incorporated a specialised lighting system for the propagation of plants from seed.

In both areas, Elevate used the Link 51 Mono medium duty adjustable shelving system mainly on mobile bases to maximise storage capacity throughout.

Mono adjustable shelving has a simple one piece end frame and the shelves have slim, clean lines giving a neat coordinated appearance.

All bays in the general store area were mounted on mobile bases therefore maximising the full use of the floor space where only 1 aisle is required.

In the plant propagation rooms, the shelving supported specially made brackets which held Valoya C series lighting tubes.

These tubes are ideal for growth rooms where demanding light conditions are required.

They are also high intensity therefore promoting quick and efficient plant growth.

The C series tubes are slim and lightweight which made them easy to install.
